Petrina Olson
Artistic Director

Petrina is the creative vision and spirit behind Threshold.

She has been a student, teacher and author of dance for more than 30 years. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Dance Arts. . Her movement studies have encompassed Ballet, various modern and ethnic forms, the Halprin Life/Art Expressive Therapy Process, and Laban/Bartinieff Movement Fundamentals. She also is a certified Health Fitness Instructor and Reiki and Thai Massage Practitioner.

As an Interdiciplinary Artist, in addition to teaching and choreographing, Petrina designs and creates all of her own costumes, sets, and props.

She also is a devoted and loving mother of an autistic, differently-abled, 10 year old daughter who she considers her creative partner in the development of Threshold’s specialized expressive movement classes for differently-abled children and adults.
