Erica | TDT Las VegasErica Bowyer  
Erica studied dance throughout her childhood years at a dance studio in Mercerville, New Jersey.  She went on to study Engineering at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania where she was a member of the University's Performance Dance Company.  At Bucknell, she studied under various resident and adjunct Professors, and performed commissioned choreography by several internationally-renown guest artists.  While respecting all genres of dance and enjoying many, it was during this time that Erica fell in love with modern dance.    Erica is thrilled to now be a part of Threshold Dance Theater's Performance Company, under the artistic direction of Petrina Olson.  Here, she is ecstatic to have the opportunity to continue to fulfill her passion, love and respect for the art of modern dance.
JoLynn | Threshold DanceJoLynn Geissler
JoLynn is a native of Las Vegas who has been studying and performing dance since age 5. She holds a B.A. in Dance-Choreography&Performance, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has performed at the International Festival of the Arts in Kiel, Germany, American College Dance Festivals, and at the Judy Bailey Theater with the UNLV Dance Company. She has her commercial real estate License and is the Property Manager for Bayer/Harmon West Properties LLC. She is thrilled to be dancing with the company and believes expression through movement is greatly beneficial to the physical, emotional and spiritual body. She looks forward to choreographing works for the company in the future.
Christie Schneider
Christie was born in Brooklyn, NY and has resided inChristie | TDT Las Vegas Las Vegas since 1989. She holds a BA in Dance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has appeared in works by Cathy Allen, Margot Colbert, Victoria Dale, Lon Gordon, Eric Hawkins, Louis Kavouras, Katiti King and Loretta Livingston. In addition to performing, Christie enjoys choreographing and hopes to continue creating new work. She has created both solo and group works and has had her work showcased at the American College Dance Festival in Tucson, Arizona. The mother of a young son, Christie is thrilled to be dancing and performing again with Threshold.
Socorro Jones

Socorro started dancing at the age of 5, She has Socorro | Threshold Dance Companystudied various genres from the American Folk dances to cultural dance as well as experience in musical theatre, performing African Dance, Stepping, Flag Twirling, and all athletic sports. Her technique studies encompass Ballet, Modern, Jazz, African, Tap and Ballroom. She holds a BA in Dance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Socorro’s has danced with the Urban Contemporary Dance Company in Baltimore, MD. While there, she also instructed teens and adults in Hip-Hop at the Community College Of Baltimore County. She also holds an AA Degree in Human Services (working with people with special needs) and enjoys teaching the after school program for kids at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School.
Socorro feels blessed to be able to explore her creativity through: choreographing and dancing for Fremont Street events, through being in UNLV dance concerts, Instructing for the Nevada Ballet Theatre Future Dance Program as well as the All-star After school Program, and freelance work dancing and modeling at selected events.
Her goals to dance on a cruise line and in Europe drive her. She wishes to:
"Absorb as much as possible and always respect the art of dance for I know I can never master it. It's beautiful! I take pride in being a true artist with an unconditional love for all the possibilities dance gives by freeing my soul. Dance is.. "The Untouchable Art."

Emily | TDT Las VegasEmily Giles

Emily started dancing at the age of 4 at the Melva Smith School of Dance. For the last 17 years she has been studying Ballet, Tap and Jazz. She was introduced to modern technique through the dance program at Collin County Community College in Plano, TX from which she earned her Associates Degree. While there, she performed with the Collin Dance Ensemble. Emily is currently continuing her Dance Education pursuing her  BA in Dance Production from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and performing with Threshold Dance Theater. Emily is especially interested in Dance/Movement Therapy, and would like to pursue a career in helping disabled children, through dance. She currently assists with the classes for autistic and differently-abled children at the Threshold studio.


Justin Lex

Justin holds a B.A. in Dance from Point Park College with a minor in Stage Management. He has Justin Lexappeared in numerous Ballet and Contemporary Productions on the East Coast, in Las Vegas, and Edinburgh, Scotland at the 2004 Frindge Festival. In addition to his broad dance experience, he is skilled at Stilt walking, Juggling, and gymnastics and has appeared in The Sirens of TI show at Treasure Island. Justin has been a Stage Manager for Beacher’s Madhouse at the Hard Rock and is currently employed by Blue Man Group.

 


Michelle | Threshold Dance
Michelle Alexander

Allison Michelle Alexander has been dancing since the age of three where she started her career with the Lone Star Ballet.  During her stay with Louisiana Dance Theatre, Michelle has performed original choreography by Michael Vernon, Alvin Ailey’s Diane Maroney, Duke Ellington’s Daughter; Mercedes Ellington, Sam Watson and many more. 
Michelle has danced professionally with the Koresh Dance Co. of Philadelphia, Urban Ballet Theatre of NYC, Delta Festival Ballet of New Orleans, The Shoji Tobuchi Show in Branson MO., Legends in Concert and Dixie Stampede, Moving People Dance Theatre of Santa Fe, The Pearson/Widrig Dance Theatre of NYC in association with Newcomb Dance Co. of Tulane University, has recently performed internationally with Komenka Dance Ensemble and performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

Michelle has been teaching classical and contemporary Ballet, Pointe, Horton, and contemporary Modern/Modern Partnering, and Jazz for the better part of a decade.   Currently, Michelle is enjoying teaching future ballerinas at the Nevada Ballet Theatre and being a member of the TDT performing company. Michelle teaches the beginning Modern Ballet class at the Threshold Studio.


Jewel

Julianne Raquel

Jewel began dancing at Community College of Southern Nevada. She then continued on to graduate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a dual degree of BA in Dance Studies and a BFA in Dance-Performance/Choreography. She has appeared in choreography by Kelly and Leslie Roth, Cathy Allen, Richard Havey, Margot Colbert, Dr. Carole Rae, Louis Kavouras, Victoria Dale, James Healy, Douglas Dunn, Patton White, Jon Lehrer, Juan Sanchez, and Charmaine Hunter. She has performed at multiple choreography showcases, Dance in the Desert, and ACDFA festivals. Her favorite quote is: "The Dancer believes that his art has something to say which cannot be expressed in words or in any other way than by dancing .... there are times when the simple dignity of movement can fulfill the function of a volume of words. There are movements which impinge upon the nerves with a strength that is incomparable, for movement has power to stir the senses and emotions, unique in itself. This is the dancer's justification for being and his reason for searching further for deeper aspects of his art." ~Doris Humphreynbsp;

Teddy | Threshold Dance CompanyTEDDY DAWES

Teddy is originally from Farmington, NM. Where he began his dance training. He began performing with the Ballet Theatre of New Mexico, performing with them for 5 seasons.

Following High School he moved to Chicago where he trained with Rory Foster from the ABT, Pam Tanis from the Joffery Ballet, Zineab Charibi of Joseph Holmes Dance Theatre and Serita Smith-Childs of the Melissa Thodeus Dancers while attending DePaul University sister Campus in Lake Forest IL where he was on Full Scholarship. While going to school and dancing for the company at DePaul he also performed with the North Shore Dance Company.

When DePaul decided to phase out their once prestigious dance department and make room for other programs Teddy decided to pack his bags and make his way Las Vegas, NV where he would eventually earn a BA Degree in Choreography/Performance from UNLV. While attending UNLV he was a featured soloist at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2002. He was a student choreographer as well as a featured costume designer while attending UNLV. He has had the opportunity to perform for Celia Dale, Margot Mink-Colbert, Louis Kavouras, Victoria Dale, Lonny Gordon, James Healy, and Kevin Iaga-Jeff. During his last semester at UNLV Teddy finished the year via computer because he was offered a Job with Sesame Workshop in the Off-Broadway World Tour of Dragon Tales Live. Teddy has been seen on MTV working with Darin Henson.
Additionally, Teddy holds an AA Degree in Theatre and BASI Pilates Certification. He volunteers throughout the year to help with children’s organizations and works part-time as a Gymnastics instructor for Clark County’s Parks and Recreation program.

Teddy is so excited to be dancing and performing after a 2 year absence; the result of a severe back injury and a torn knee ligament.
